Part of the Circle of Life

I just finished this Christening gown.  Last year I altered the Mom's wedding dress, this year I made the Christening gown, incorporating the lace fabric from the wedding gown.  The pieces salvaged from the wedding dress weren't long enough for the long skirt, so I pieced it at the top ribbon.  The space between the top and bottom ribbon separating the lace trim, looked unproportional, so I added another wide and two narrow ribbons to break up the space.  I'm sure she will be pleased.  This is my baby gift for our neighbour's daughter.
